She was not modest, but she was uncooperative - she kicked and flailed
her arms around, and turned her head from side to side, but she refused
to change
positions so the tech could get a good reading on the heart. She could
see four chambers, but she couldn't see the blood flowing in and out,
so I have to
go back in four weeks for another ultrasound to see the heart. All
other organs looked good. I was kind of disappointed that we still
didn't get to see any
rolling/flipping (she was pretty still during the first tri screen and
our nine-week ultrasound), but I'm thrilled that everything seems to be
ok. The
baby's heart rate was 136, which is consistent with what I've been
getting
on the doppler lately. The OWT about boys' heart rates being
under 140 and girls' being over 140 was not true in this case!
After the ultrasound we went to BRU and registered for a few things
- gender-neutral, except for one little outfit that was blue and had a
baseball theme -
just in case any of our family members try to get cute and peek at the
registry to figure out our news before tomorrow (we're all getting together to share the news). Hah!
