I didn't vote yet. I really like both. It depends on your last name. Jack is more traditional/classic, Jackson is more modern sounding, b/c of the surname trend.
I love, love, love Jack. One of my favorite boy names. I don't like Jackson though. Jackson is so last namey. I don't think it has the classic appeal of Jack.?
Well, I'm obviously a fan of Jackson! But the only reason it even entered the discussion was that DH and I both liked Jack. Jack sounds rather abrupt with our one-syllable last name, and Jackson works better. We call him Jackson, not Jack.

So, Clay,. Ann, Lee, Shane, John all sound abrupt? If you like Jack why not call him Jack? Seems silly to me. **shrugs**

With our last name, yes. And we don't call him Jack because we like Jackson better.
We actually went with Jack because our last name is not very common so I thought people might get confused and think his last name was his first name and Jackson was the last name. Now that Jackson's getting so popular, it seems kind of ridiculous that I thought that.
Re: Which one is better? Poll included :)
