birth control

I have not starting taking any birth control.  I am scared about a decrease in milk supply.  I know some birth controls will affect it.  I got a prescrip. for nuva ring but am apprehensive about getting it filled.   What is everyone else taking and what do you think of it?

My OB told me I could not be on the Nuva Ring and BF.

I am on the mini-pill. No supply issues.

I thought NuvaRing was a no-no while BFing?  Sorry if I'm wrong.  We are using condoms/pull n pray.

thanks guys.  I was told that it would be ok but I am always cautious.  I want to pump as long as possible.  I am scared that I will dry up before I am ready since we could not bf.

I was told you can use combo contraception (i.e. NurvaRing) after 6 weeks pp once supply has been established but that is still a good chance your supply might decrease.

Just started the mini-pill yesterday. Apparently you REALLY have to take it at the same time every day though - the instructions tell you what to do if you're 3 hours or more late in taking it.

I just finished my first pack of ortho tri cyclen lo and haven't really seen any supply issues while pumping yet.  My Dr. said it was ok to take.
