hydrocephalus?

Anyone have any experience with this condition? I have a friend who's Son will be born with hydrocephalus and will have to have emergency surgery after he is born. He will need a shunt. Do any of you ladies have any info on this?

i don't have much experience with it but my son aaron has post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus. it's been stable/slightly decreasing so no intervention has been needed yet. as for the shunt, all the doctor said in passing over options was that they place it to drain the fluid out and it would be permanent.
