Thoughts on Dr Oz? I know Dr Phil was an Oprah spinoff, and now Dr Oz is getting his own show. My MIL thinks he's God incarnate. He's still a licensed MD, yes?
I actually never saw Dr Phil on Oprah. He's from Dallas so the morning radio show I listen to always had him on once a week, more before he became a regular on Oprah. Then he got all "Hollywood".
I am over Dr. Oz. Sorry....Oprah and I have a love/hate relationship I enjoyed Dr. Oz in the beginning but Oprah over did it, as usual, and now I tune out.
I always pay attention to medical shows but I am afraid that they hype will outweigh the outcome. I think he'll do okay, like Dr. Phil, early on and then there may be issues.
I also read that Jenny McCarthy has landed her own parenting show based on her experience on Oprah.
Best friends and sisters... 24 months and 16 months

I used to like Oprah...but, lately (past few years) I've had a hard time watching her show, because now that i'm more educated, I *know* what she's talking about....and many of her statistics and "quotes" are incorrect or twisted to meet the need of that particular show airing. It causes me to struggle watching her show knowing that, it really irks me! Meh.
As for Dr. Oz
I heard somewhere he had two degrees, a business degree and an MD. I know he owns a business that DH has mentioned before (can't think of name off top of my head) and he has some books out. I don't know much else about him...
Although the license question is a good question because I know he's a professor or in a teaching school of some sort...I think? I went to the New York Professional Registration website to look up his name to see if he's a registered doctor...but the site was down. sigh.
