I've always liked the name Camila (ca-mil-ah) and it's on our giant list of baby names.
DH and I just moved into a new house and it has the most beautiful Camellia Tree right infront of the nursery window so it got me thinking about the name Camellia (Like Amelia with a C).
Re: How do you pronounce?
My MARRIED Bio
I've always liked the name Camila (ca-mil-ah) and it's on our giant list of baby names.
DH and I just moved into a new house and it has the most beautiful Camellia Tree right infront of the nursery window so it got me thinking about the name Camellia (Like Amelia with a C).
Out of those two, what do you think?
Camilla
If you end with -ia like you do in the first two choices you change the pronunciation completely.
Camellia = Ca-mell-ee-ah
Camillia = Ca-mill-ee-ah
Camila = Ca-mee-la
I would spell it Camilla over Camila personally.
I have always liked this name. I had a friend in grad school named Camilla.
I would say spell it Camilla to get that pronunciation.

Luca Rose born 9/9/12! More than worth the wait!
To me, none of the names you list get the pronunciation you want:
Camellia and Camillia = cah-MEAL-ya
Camila = cah-ME-lah
Camilla - cah-MILL-ah
