I have 9 friends who have had babies between December and this month who have all used names I really liked. I still have 4 more friends (that I know of so far!) that will have their babies this year.

Do you have any friends who have ended up using names you really like and now they have to be nixed off your list?

Yes! My friend had a daughter named Abigail...a name I really love. My cousin has a daughter named Victoria and I would have totally considered it if she hadn't used it.?

DH's beloved grandmother is named Roxy and we planned on using that. My cousin (on my side, not DH's) just named their baby girl Roxanne and have been calling her Roxy for short.

Our family isn't huge and the baby is only a few months old so it would be akward. Back to the drawing board!

hmm cameron was on my short list and a close friend just named one of her twins that.  otherwise i like more unique and unusual names that other people probably wouldn't select or think of.

Yes. And everyone thinks it's dumb that I won't use he name now, but I just can't!

We had that happen, only to discover that we didn't love the names as much as we thought we did when they were used IRL, so in the end, I'm thankful:)

A really good friend of mine just used MY husband's name (and yes, she even told me it was based on my husband's name and his spelling!  his name is Sean) for the middle name of her 3rd son.  It kind of sucks, because we were planning on using his fn as a future son's mn too...ugh!
