heidisean

what is the gymbo employee discount?  hourly pay?  I'm thinking of applying.

Re: heidisean

  • Well I only work new line so once every 2-3 weeks I work on a Sunday to put the new line out for Monday. We get 40% off at Gymboree, 30% off at Janie and Jack, 20% off at Crazy 8 and our local Gymboree Play and Music gives us free classes....which is awesome! The only fee I pay is 40.00 every 9 months for Giada's arts and crafts supplies for one of her classes (which everyone has to pay). If you have the Gymbo visa you get an additional 5% off. It is slightly more than minimum wage so the money is not good at all and as a matter of fact when I put out new line I always spend more than I make. lol But I look at it that I used to spend a heck of a lot more money before I worked there. It is fun to work there but putting out the new line is hard manual labor. This is exactly why I want my dd to get a college degree so she doesn't have to work for slightly more than minimum wage. I work 10 X's harder at Gymboree than I do being a pediatric OT and evaluating kids for a living. Let me know if you have any other questions.
  • Cool! Thanks.  I'd basically be working for the discount and free classes.
