I thought I figured out the best way to keep my back from hurting was to not lean forward, keep my back firmly against the back of a chair with good support.
Now they tell me that after 30 weeks you should try and lean forward as much as possible to encourage the baby to position itself head-down. ?However, I have been trying this and don't think I can deal with 2 more months of this much back pain. ?Last time they checked the baby was in breach position although I know there is plenty of time to flip around. ?
I'm thinking I'll just sit in a way that's comfortable and trust the baby will flip around the way it's supposed to in time. ?Anyone else with this problem?
?Ouch!
Re: Sitting
i have never heard of that so i wouldnt put too much stock in it...
just sit in a position that makes you comfortable!
the baby knows what to do- it's nature...
Use Icy Hot sparingly - it helps.
I SWEAR on this position:
Lean forward, but sit spread-eagle, like you are straddling the chair, and feet touching the floor.
It gives your back/upper body SO much more support than if you were to just have your legs out in front of you.
I am experience excruiating pain in my buttocks and pelvic bone areas. I learned it is the coccyx bones that are being softened due to hormones that are preparing the body for birth. If I sit more than 30 minutes, the pain is overwhelming and its hard to take my first 10 steps or so. Doc tells me theres really nothing that can be done other than heat and Tylenol.
I am 30 weeks and 6 days so I guess you and I are going thru the same thing! Good Luck!
