moms of thumb/finger suckers

When did your dc start sucking thumb/fingers?  Maren tries so hard, but as soon as she gets her hand in place she'll accidentally pull it out.

Re: moms of thumb/finger suckers

  • Josh was born sucking his thumb.  Even now every so often his wife will find him sucking his thumb in the middle of the night lol  He doesnt even know he's doing it.

  • Cecily is my only thumb sucker.  She started to figure it out around 2 months and really mastered it be 3 months.  It is awesome!  Whenever she's fussy/tired, etc. she pops it in and life is good.

At 2 months, she was able to get it in her mouth if she wanted to.  She had been trying for awhile prior.  She still had her binkie at that time though.  Then she ditched the binkie at 8 months on her own and is still a full time (tired or in bed only) thumb sucker.
