This name was very popular in my family for a long time and I love it.  It's old without having a "George" or "Earl" feel, you know?

It's been a popular choice among my friends (who live in Maine, Los Angeles, Nashville, TN and Chicago) - all have at least thought about the name if not used it (for either a fn or mn).  I think it's fabulous!  My one friend used the nn Rett; which I just thought was adorable for a little boy and could be definitely swoon-able when he gets to be older (ie: Rett Butler).
