Need help w/ menu for 1st b-day

I need to add something on here that is kinda kid friendly for the party- don't you think?

There are more adults than kids coming, but I at least want to have an option.  My son will be the youngest.  I think there will be 2 two year olds and then the other kids are older and I know they eat whatever.  what do you think?   I don't want to do pizza or anything like that.  Maybe bagel bites would be better.  hmmmm.
The party is this Sunday.  Thanks for your help.

Here is my list

  1. Alaskan King Crab Salad
  2. Alaskan Smoked Salmon Dip
  3. Jamaican Beef Patties
  4. Orange Chicken
  5. Sub Sandwiches
  6. Shot Glass Cheesecakes
  7. Cake for III
  8. Cookies
  9. Cupcakes

  • None of those food are really my taste but are you having salads also? Like pasta salad, fruit salad etc?

I guess I also don't understand why the cereal and poptarts where mentioned?

  • good idea- the pasta salads.

  • maybe a veggie tray or cole slaw too... A veggie would add some color also. Have fun!!!

  • meatballs or turkey meatballs? You could have rolls for them to make meatball sandwiches or people could just put them on plates. Instead of doing the subs entirely, you could do rolls with cold cuts, cheese, garnishes and people could make their own sandwiches. And you could have a bowl of string cheese too. That's always a hit.

I was thinking the same thing. It looks like a lot of main course dishes but no sides. I personally would remove at least 1 of the main dishes and add a fruit flatter, some sort of salad and maybe a hot side dish? I did a large tray of 3 cheese mac & cheese with sliced tomatoes on top of DS's b-day and it was a huge hit. I would also remove a dessert. It seems like a lot.

  • Why did I not think of other salads or meatballs etc.  THANKS!~  I appreciate all of the help.  This is my 1st b-day party, so I am a beginner.
