Photo album baby gift. Yay or nay?

I've been eying these beautiful personalized handmade albums for a while and was thinking of giving one as a gift. But I know we never do anything with actual prints any more. (All our pics are digital.)

Would this be universally un-appreciated? Curious what the majority would say here.

We have a digital camera but I still use my trusted 35 mm.  I just like it better even though I'm never sure if the shots are good.  I've been pretty lucky.  I would like a nice photo album.  It is nice to whip out when guests come or whatever...can't really do a slide show for company.

I have a beautiful album that we got for DS birth.

It's still in the box, along with all the prints I haven't dealt with yet.

It's a nice idea, but there are other gifts that I'd think of before an album.

someone gave me a personalized memory box for sean. it has all the baby things in it that wouldn't fit in his babybook, ex-the hat they put on him when he arrived. his baptisimal candle, etc.  i love that box.  i have a nice photo album in the box still too.
