Is there a good way to ask this?

I've been offered a shower by two of my close friends. They started planning as soon as I told them I was pg. At the begining of April we talked again and I told them July or the first weekend in August would be best in case he comes early. At this point there is still no date set and people are asking me on a more regular basis. I am a planner so I would like to get a date picked, especially since people's summers fill up fast. I have every faith that it will be a fabulous shower, I don't feel like I have to plan it all, I just want to know the date. Is there a way to ask what they are thinking with out seeming like I am harping on it?

Since they just mentioned it in April and you told them a July or August I would just ask them if they have set a date yet.  Just let them know that you are trying to keep week-ends open but need to make plans as well.  That way you will have your date to tell people.  Hopefully they don't expect you to keep two summer months open.  It will also give them a chance to tell you if they are still doing it or not.
