How in the world do you peel grapes??

So I gave me LO some grapes yesterday.  He seemed to like them but kept taking them out of his mouth and I could see where he ate the "inside" but didn't like chewing on the skin.

I did cut them in quarters....should I peel the skin.  Any easy trick to this?

  • I peel them with my teeth.

  • I don't peel them. I just make the pieces tiny.

Same here. I tried peeling them once and it was just about impossible. If I cut them up small enough, DS has no problem with the skins.

  • My DD felt the same way about blueberry skins.

  • I just cut them into quarters or squish them.  DD does fine with them.  I'm all for making food baby friendly and catering to my baby's needs but when I think of peeling grapes I think of her lying down on a Cleopatra style divan and me fanning her and feeding her peeled grapes and then I think, "Yeah... Not so much..."

  • I used to peel them when DD was littler (like 8 months), and I was worried about her choking.  I thought the green grapes were easier to peel than the red grapes.  I've been giving them to her with the skins since she was around 10 months old, I think.  I cut them in quarters.
