Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Wow, 1 slice of whole wheat bread

contains 4g of protein and 5g of fiber!! Sheesh, this kid is getting a slice of bread in some way every day from now on!! lol

Today I put some apple butter on it and toasted it. She gobbled it up. It's amazing how happy I am having found something she actually likes and she will actually consume the serving required to reach those sought after nutrients!!!

  • Yeah, DD would eat toast for every meal if I let her :) I've been using White Wheat but I need to read all the labels and find the best one.

  • I know for lunch a lot I will give DS some lightly toasted wheat bread with peanut butter and he absolutely loves that!   It's an easy meal for me to make for him and it's healthy. 

  • I think the fact that it only takes 1 slice to get that fiber and protien that's making me happy. Usually, it seems to me to get the nutrients you're aiming for, DC has to eat like 47 crackers, 2 cups of beans or some other nevagonnahappen amount :)
