DS wants nothing to do with any kind of finger foods that I try to offer him. Anyone have any tips on ways to get him interested? He definitely prefers to be spoon fed and will turn his head if I try to feed him finger foods. I know he will eventually be interested, just looking for some helpful tips.
TIA
Re: How to get LO interested in finger foods?
the first thing i gave ds was pastina (super tiny pasta, smaller than rice) and i mixed it in with his jar of veggies. he could just swallow it, and it was familiar because of the baby food. it was hard for him to feed himself so once he was used to the texture i moved on to ditalini..something that he could grasp himself.
pancakes with apple butter was also one of the first things i tried and he loved it. i didnt try cheerios or puffs for a while..they made me too nervous.
