Does anyone have any thoughts on My Gym versus Gymboree. I know I'm early to start looking into this since my little one will only be 3 months next week but I was interested in if anyone had any experiences at either one and was willing to share or had a preference of one over the other. I'm right in between the two so travel isn't an issue. Thanks in advance.
Re: gymboree vs. my gym
We went to Gymboree for 3 months or so starting when my daughter was 4 months old. The classes were small, never more than 5 or so other kids. At that age, we just did a lot of sensory play. It was nice. I think classes ran about 40 bucks per month. We took a little break during the summer and then started up again, but this time at My Gym. We have been going to My Gym for almost 9 months now and we LOVE it! The staff is wonderful and the activities really keep Avery's attention. She gets so excited when we tell her it is time for her class. The only downside is the price. It is more expensive than Gymboree. I think we pay $65.00 per month. We look at it as an investment though because we don't send Avery to daycare and it is one of her main sources of socialization.
Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with either place. I prefer My Gym because I love the staff and the inside has more room to run and play, but for infants both are probably pretty equal. I know My Gym started a class for kids 6 weeks to 6 months old back in the fall and it was FREE! Not sure if that offer is still going on though. HTH!
