Bleeding gums while teething?

DS is going through a really rough teething period now.  He is getting his top four teeth all at the same time.  When he got up this morning, there was blood on his sheet.  I assume that it came from his gums since there was no dried blood anywhere on him.  Is this normal?  It was a pretty big spot ? about the size of a quarter.  It kind of freaked me out?  Thanks!

    Thats normal!  I remember when my DS top teeth came in, I freaked out for a sec when I saw the blood.  But my doc says its normal.

    Madeleine had some blood with one of her molars.  I think it is normal.

    Eli is bleeding a little bit with his molars right now.  That never happened with his front teeth, but I'm sure it's normal at any point.
