how bad is this?

DD has always woken up between 5:30 and 6 am.  Not the ideal time, but I make it work.  The past few weeks after i feed her breakfast it seems like she wants to go back to bed.  So today, she wakes up at 6 screaming like she is having a bad dream (which happens sometimes) so i go get her a sippy of milk to calm her down, and she drank it until she fell back asleep.  It is now 7:40 and she is still sleeping!  I know your not supposed to put them to bed with milk, but is this really THAT bad? I am really enjoying getting ready for work without a 1 yo clinging to me.

  • If I didnt give DS a bottle in the middle of the night I would not be able to function! lol

It's not good for their teeth.  A sippy might be better than a bottle, but I'm not sure.  Maybe tomorrow you could sit in a chair with her and give her the sippy, then see if she'll go back to bed?
  • Can you prop her up so that she's on an incline? More than her teeth, I'd be worried about the risk of ear infections.
