Do you think drinking is ever safe while pregnant?

I really miss wine and beer. Actually like crazy. All my friends say they had wine later in pregnancy here and there and I wonder if anyone here has an occasional glass or plans to down the line.

Its okay by the doctors in France, why not America? I love wine but figure if I could give up smoking I could wait nine months for a glass of wine.
