Digital Test Question

So i know everyone says to just get the cheapie pg test from the dollar store, but i wanted to try the digital one where it actually says the words  - 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant', well i took the test and the result was 'see leaflet'!! which means that there was an error with the test, so i figured ok, this was the 1st time I ever used a pg test, so maybe i screwed it up , I dont see how though..but whatever..so I waited 30 minutes until the message cleared, and took the test again, and again 'see leaflet'!! Has anyone else had problems with these tests??  later in the week i tried one of the basic tests, and i got a very faint line, which would be negative, but it was very faint, I am not pg, by the way, I know this now, I wonder if i am doing something wrong, or just got a bad test! thanks!!

Um...a very faint line is not negative on a pregnancy test.  You are most likely pregnant. 

And you can't pee on a test twice.  You need to use a new test.

Surely you don't mean that you waited until the "see leaflet" message disappeared and then peed on the same stick, do you?  I would just toss that stick and try a fresh one.  You can't use the same test twice.

Also, did you do as it says and read through the leaflet?

Also, if you had a faint line, it's a + test.  The test can't have 2 lines unless the hormones are there to make them appear.  So, if you are sure you aren't pregnant, you could have a.) been one of the 0.01% of people that get false positives, or b.) chem preg.

Just my thoughts.

this... and you might call the number on the box if you think they're defective and let the company know.

lol - no i used a new test, not same one, it came with two in the package. the other brand i used, you either got a line or a plus sign, the line means negative...i was also tested at the doctors, and that was negative, and  i got af on thursday, so i know that im not preganant..the only reason i even took the test was bc i was feeling very faint and dizzy, and went to the doc's, they gave me bloodwork to see if i was pg, i never really thought i was, but i just didnt want my doctor calling me @ work with that news, thats why I tested at home....

I received the "see leaflet" last summer when I had a CP. After peeing on about 1,000 pee sticks I had run out of pee and was struggling to get even a few drops out by the time I got to the digitals (long before I learned all I know now).

Moral of the story: If the digitals are over or under saturated they give the error message, and if I remember correctly I think that is explained somewhat in the leaflet.

I ended up calling and speaking with someone at clear blue easy.

Too much pee & too little pee = bad things.

In the future pee in a cup and dip the sticks.

I would a test of a different brand in the morning.?

ETA: Ok I just read your reply post and I'm at a loss. I don't know why you are taking so many tests (at home & at the doctor) if you don't have a chance of being pregnant.

Color me confused.?

ps when i read the leaflet, it said an error could be caused by either too much or too little urine, but i dunno, i think that test was screwed up..

also, to avoid that in the future you might pee in a cup so you can dip the test in it just as long as the instructions tell you to. also, if you get a + and want to retest to make sure, you'll already have fmu in the cup!
