Things are looking up... an update.

So, I'm here with my brother and family.  MH is here with me too which is a great help (Lucas is with MIL).

My brother had 2 great days in a row on Thurs/Fri... a bit of a rough day yesterday which turned into a good day and things seem to be looking up today.  He hadn't had 2 good days in a row since he was diagnosed, so this is a major improvement.  He is doing really well on the ventilator and it looks like they might be able to take him off sooner than later.

Yesterday was his HS graduation.  My other brother and I went.  It was nice, they mentioned him a lot.  The valedictorian carried a picture of him up there with him so that he would be at the graduation and mentioned that the 2 of them had graduated together from kindergarden together on the same day in 1997.  Crazy.  They offered for us to go up and accept his diploma, but that didn't seem right, we just let them call his name and there be an empty space.  When they called his name and the whole place erupted in cheers.  It was very bittersweet.

Anyhow, thanks for all the prayers - looks like something is finally working...

I have been reading your posts about your brother and, although I don't think I've ever responded to an update, have kept him in my prayers. ?I'm so glad to hear that things are looking up!
