Is it okay to hang wall letters on the wall that the crib is pushed up against? I know it's kind of silly, but I am afraid of one falling into the crib. I would of course hang them securely but am still nervous. What do you all think?
I read something that warned against hanging anything like that over the crib. I think it might have been in baby bargains, or maybe on this board. If the letters are made out of material, it might be okay. But, I wouldn't hang wooden letters. I think I'm going to put wall decals above mine just to be safe, and hang the letters on another wall.
I think we're going to do a vinyl wall quote or something like that above her crib... we'll hang anything else on the other walls. I would be too afraid that something would fall on her.
Maybe I'm a bad mom (lol), but we're hanging DD's name over her crib...I don't see how if it's done correctly, that it would fall off. Obviously it will be high enough so she can't reach it when she's standing in the crib.

I'm also a bad mom as I hung the letters directly above the crib. I used mounting tape meant for holding 10 lb objects per inch of tape. I'm sure the letters will be just fine.

I am doing decals above the bed. I'm not really worried about something falling--until she gets old enough to stand up and pull on it. So I figured decals were better. I've hung other stuff in other parts of the room that she (hoepfully) won't be able to get to.

I as well put baby's name over the crib. I used foam block letters, I got them at Michaels for $1.00 a each. Painted them myself and hung them with ribbon. They arent going to fall and if they did they wont hurt LO.

I agree that if they are hung up correctly and are out of reach of the child, it it a non-issue. I'm hanging up a wall letter above the crib, but certainly will make sure that its not going to fall down.
