Most of my NICU footage is ruined :(

I was just going through our videos and getting clips up on our blog. Seems that the tape DH used for the last 4 weeks of the trips NICU stay and the first 3 weeks of them being home was used and abused. It's now good as gone, and I am sooo sad. I still have their first week in the NICU on video and lots of pics but it's not the same.

Safe guard that stuff momma's!

    OH NO! I'd be so heartbroken.

     

    I keep my stuff backed up on a thumb drive. And every once in a while I burn pics to CDs for the safe deposit box.
    A friend lost 6 months of pics in a hard drive crash and I'm so scared of it happening to us..

    I lost mine too, including the video where DH showed me DS for the first time (I was too sick to go to the NICU). It breaks my heart - we have an external hard drive to back everything up now.

    I put everything on DVD now and will be keeping those in a safe place.

    I still have the tape, I am going to take it to some pro (once I find one) and see if they can salvage anything off of it....it just so worn I am not sure.

    I am sorry you lost some too...it really sucks, I started bawling!
