well, my holiday weekend is shot!!!

I have had a cold all week.  on Wed realized i was gurgling while breathing and I figured I had some chest congestion.

 Well last night HIGH fever.  I knew I had pneumonia.  Took some tyelnol and was prepared to go to dr today.

Well at 12:30 woke up with chest pains, back pains and could not breath.  DH took me to the ER.

They tested me for heart attack because my chest pains were no bad.  And the bloodwork came back positive for a clot.  I had all sorts of tests.

Chest Xray was positive for pneumonia.  The dr said, my coughing threw out my back, and it is on my left side because that is were the pneumonia is.

 I am in all weekend.  I have been sleeping all day.  We were at the hospital from 2-7.  I had some good shots of pain meds so I was able to sleep a little bit. 

I am in a tremendous amount of pain and it is very hard to breath.  But I am doing better than I was last night.  mostly light headed due to lack of oxygen because I can only take shallow breaths. 

What a pain!!

Wow, I'm so sorry.  I had pneumonia like that once (complication of chicken pox at age 18).  I had to go to the ER because I was in so much pain and they gave me narcotics.  I was in bed for several weeks.  I can't imagine going through that with kids.  I hope you feel better!

Oh no! I'm so sorry! I hope you get better soon. You might not be able to celebrate Memorial Day with beer but pain meds are a good 2nd, right? LOL.

My SIL is a nurse in the ICU at the hospital.  She came to watch Ethan while we were at the hopsital.  She said she was very surprised they did not admit me either.  Ohh well.  I kinda wish I was admitted, because i am SOO lightheaded due to lack of oxygen.

Oh, I feel for you.  I got the dx of it on 4/1 and last week was the first week I didn't feel (or look) like absolute crud.  I hope that your antibiotics kick in quickly.  I had to do two rounds and 3 sets of xray checks.  It is no fun.  What are they doing for your clot?

Luckily the clot blood test was a false positive.  They did a lung scan and everything is ok.  I just have minimal breathing capbilities.
