3rd Trimester

Could this mean I wont go to my due date?

With DS I was induced two days before my EDD and wasn't dialated at all. My body just wasn't ready to give birth yet so the induction failed and I had to have a c-section. Since I got my bfp I have been worried that I will go over due and will have to have another c-section. I have been having contractions anywhere from 2 -12 an hour for the past few days. They are a bit uncomfortable but not painful. My doctor said it's fine and if I have more than 6 an hour to drink some water and lay down and then take a short walk. If they don't slow down then to go to L&D to get checked. I've never had to go. I haven't asked my doctor but I'm wondering if maybe this means that I won't be overdue?

  • I don't think that is any indication on when you'll go into labor. I had a trip to L&D at 35w for PTL...here I am 3 days from my due date still pregnant.

Sorry, it's impossible to say.  I had crazy Braxton Hicks from 20 weeks on, and tons of cramping and contractions in the last weeks.  And I was still induced at 41 weeks.

Nope it doesn't. I had pre-term labor issues with tons of contractions and I'm still here. I have contractions constantly since being taken off my terbutaline at 34wks.
