Is how much it costs you to run over your own leg. OMG. That is for 11 hours in the emergency room. That is more than my 4 days in labor and delivery. I am sorry, but healthcare costs are out of control. The bulk of that bill is for the 2 CT scans I had. The last one they told me I had to have due to "legal" reasons, even thought the x-ray was clear. I just thank god I have health insurance and have already paid the deductable for the year.

I wish I could say I'm surprised. It cost more than $1000 for DH to have his finger stitched up a couple months ago. Like you say, I'm just glad we have good insurance!

Yeah, healthcare is out of control in this country.  Unfortunately we don't have very good insurance anymore and it's going to cost us a lot to have this baby.  But thank goodness you do have good insurance...that's crazy ridiculous for 11 hours!
