Pamela-Matt

Where you just on the procardia? Tell me about your PTL and bedrest.

I really just want to believe it's going to be okay.

Re: Pamela-Matt

  • First of all I did not have twins. ?I was on Terb for the ptl. ?Thought I was having BH and mentioned it to the doc. ?He sent me to the triage and found out they were real...I was actually having some I was not feeling. ?My cervix was also changing. ?I had a previous LEEP so I knew I was at risk for that. ?My contractions continued the entire time I was on bed rest and terb. ?Luckily it would only change my cervix by a little and then cervix would go back up in length. ?It was like a game to guess what my cervix had done every time I went in. ?Keep track of when they start (I did not try to time mine) and take that to the doc with you each time you go in. ?If you need to go to triage, then do it. ?My doc told me he would rather I go in 100 times for nothing than not go and it be something. ?Drink plenty of water. ?Don't push your bed rest restrictions. ?Try to relax as much as possible. ?I got a mini fridge for the bedroom so I had drinks and fruit always available. ?DH would sometimes make me a salad for lunch and put it in there or a sandwich. ?I was fine and once they took me off the meds the contractions almost stopped totally. ?They ended up inducing me at 39w5d (I had a history of a very fast labor). ?Just keep communicating with the doc. ?Ask them if it is possible for you to continue to have contractions. ?Ask them if another med might work better. ?Get the steroid shots for the lungs!!!! (just in case). ?Hang in there honey. ?I know it is miserable and frustrating, but you can do this. ?Every day counts as I am sure you know. ?That is what I always had to remind myself of.

  • I forgot to ask you...have they checked to make sure you don't have a UTI????
  • I need weeks, not days! I'm only 19 weeks=(

I am drinking a ton of water and putting my feet up. I thought about taking a bath to see if that would help relax me at all.

They took a urine sample and it sat on the counter. I don't think they touched it. I go to the doctor on Tuesday and I am going to drill him with questions.

  • I certainly did not mean you only need days...I was saying that I reminded myself daily that every day counts. ?They add up to weeks. ?Hang in there honey. ?I would def ask about the urine sample. ?I am sure they checked it. ?Just try to stay in bed as much as possible.
