Bad ear infection--how long until she's better?

DD has had minor ear infections before but they didn't cause her much pain. She must have a bad one now because she was tossing and turning ALL night long last night, crying that her ear hurt. Assuming I can get her in to the doctor sometime today and get antibiotics for her, how long will it be until she feels better? Is she going to have another bad night tonight, especially if we don't get the medicine until late today? I'm just wondering because we're supposed to be traveling tomorrow....Thanks!

she will feel better as soon as she has a couple doses of the antibiotics.  just keep giving her motrin and more motrin

Yeah, it will take a few does to start clearing up. I agree with the other poster, give her Motrin before nap and bed and that should help a lot today.
