Just put in an application for a temp job

It's nothing fancy. A local store is doing a remodel. It's just going to be evenings, so DH will take over so I can go. Apparently there's been a lot of response for the listing though, so I really hope I get it. It'd be nice to put a big ol' dent into our debt. KWIM?

    Good luck!  I just put in an application yesterday for a local job working nights and I'm scared to get it, but I'm scared not to.  DH was laid off in April and hasn't had much luck and we do not want DS in daycare at all - the daycares in our area suck - all of them have had numerous issues and are just really crappy and we are avoiding them at all costs.  We are at my parents for a few weeks because thankfully our house sold right before DH was laid off - we saw it coming and were somewhat proactive. 

    I'm doing my MBA full time and SAHM full time with DS but I found an opportunity to bring in about a grand a month working part time, but it's nights.  So I'm scared to get it because it would be hectic but at least I could help some.  It's a scary economy and I wish you the best!  Didn't mean to take over you post, I just wanted to say I'm somewhat in the same boat, just have to fit in studying/being a mom/wife, etc. and sleep somewhere while trying to work nights...if anyone has any ideas let me know :)

    Sorry, I got to the replies late. I hear ya. We have been in about the same situation. I quit my job to be a SAHM after we had DS because daycare sucks here. Then DH got laid off a whopping 3 times last year. We ran through our savings and had to use credit to stay alive, so now we have a ton of debt. We're slowly climbing out, but if I can get this job, it'll help us get out a little sooner.
