Louisa?

Thoughts on Louisa? I'm kind of liking it, but not sure.

Also, any nickname thoughts beyond Lulu (which I feel might be a little ridiculous)?

  • I think it's absolutely adorable.  Pretty, feminine, traditional, but not common.  Yes

    The only nn that comes to mind is Ouiser (prn. Weezer), like from Steel Magnolias.  That might only work if you're from the deep South, though. Wink

  • I really like the name Louisa! I had an aunt Louisa who went by either Louise or Louie.


  • I really like Louisa. I was thinking about using it as a full name for the nn Lucy. DH isn't sure he likes Lucy, but I've still got time to get him into it.

    This, have known a Louisa who often went by Lucy.

    But, imho, love this name & don't feel a nn is necessary - great on its own.
