Lots of times. I'm a SAHM so I usually take the kids out to lunch once a week.

I do it all the time; my h is away way too often for me not to. I actually took them out to dinner tonight. (Is that unusual?)
I don't know if it's unusual, actually! I also wonder if it's more common when someone only has one child, and more "unusual" if there are more than 1...esp toddlers and under.
I have only done it a handful times...mh takes the boys out to eat alone weekly though.

You mean like because tonight, when I put Alec down for one second so I could gather up the stuff on our table and pick up my diaper bag, he was (literally) already out the door and around the corner?
regularly. because dh is at work in the evening. i looove the no prep, cook, or clean up. i swere i take matt and sean out to dinner just to keep my kitchen and dining room clean sometimes.
I go out all the time by myself with the boys. Just tonight we had dinner together while DH was at a movie with his guy friends. I started tackling meals alone with them when Kyle was 2 months old and have been doing it regularly every since (lunch sometimes during the week or nights when DH isn't home).
Yes, I take the boys out quite a bit during the week. We meet friends a lot (so, obviously those are other adults), but it's just us sometimes too. I agree with the poster who said it's sometimes easier when DH is NOT there...he just gets stressed more easily with the chaos that comes with having any small child in a restaurant, and is more "helicopter-y" than I am so we kinda clash in our styles out in public.
Definitely! Well I only have 1, but whenever DH is out of town more than a night we do at least 1 dinner out together. In fact I'd say DS is way better behaved for just me than he is when DH is with us. I think he likes to play us off, and it sets up a whole "don't talk to each other talk to me" thing... which doesn't happen if its just me and DS.
Re: (sorta) s/o: do/have you taken dc's out to eat alone before?

Yes, often. I would say once a week I eat out with DS#1 and 2 alone.

If I want to go out to eat, the kids have to join me...and the only other adults are the other diners in the restaurant.
