2nd Trimester

When did you all register?

I am 16 weeks and have done almost all of my research for what we are registering for.  We are not finding out the sex, is it too early to register?  I haven't been very productive in the baby department (aside from the baby making) and would like to maybe kick it off with something fun like doing the registry.  What do you think?

Re: When did you all register?

  • We're not finding out either, but we're registering tomorrow after the big u/s because 1) we took the day off 2) I think it will be less crowded during the day and 3) it will be fun to have a day all to the babies :o)

But, there's nothing stopping you from doing it now.

  • Right after we found out the gender of the baby. I did a lot of research on the bigger items like the pack-n-play, stroller, etc. since we wanted all gender neutral stuff we could use for either boy or girl. I would go ahead and start yours!
  • lurk. there's a post below that asked the same thing... :)
  • I think i feel like I am the only one not registering..

We are buying all of our big gifts... unless some one has called and said I would love to  purchase  BLANK for you .. then husband would say oooh we are wanting the graco sweetpeace  center.

Other then that we are purchasing all the big ticket items

  • We just registered this week, but we wanted to wait until we found out if it was boy or girl.  I don't know why though, since we registered for all gender neutral things in case we want another one.

My mom and step mom are anxious to start buying things for the baby, so I was actually ordered to go get it done.

  • we already registered because my first shower is when I am only 22 weeks!

  • If you're not finding out the sex, then why not, register now if you want. We registered at 19 weeks after we found out the sex.

  • When is your shower?

If you register too early (depending on where you register) alot of the stock could be different and you will have to re-register anyways. Some stores change items every 3 months or so.

  • I just registered this week.  I'm a little bit on the superstitious side, so I wanted to wait until I was 1/2 way through the pregnancy.
  • I just finalized our registries. I started adding things at about 11 weeks, like the necessities. I didn't register for any clothes, or anything gender specific for that matter, so it didn't really matter when I did it, the sooner the better, I say.

  • I've got most of my registry done...however, I'm having a shower in about a month and the invites are going out this week. So...I kind of had to.

  • Well, husband and I are in the process of registering now.  But... it's mostly for the little incidentals stuff.  The bigger things we are inheriting from various people and or mother is buying because *OMG gonnabegrandma* and because she has cash to blow.

I worked on mine over a couple weeks and finished up at about 20 weeks. Doesn't hurt to get started.
