s/o of the sleep post..elevating mattress?

I read that some of y'all recommended elevating the crib/mattress to help with sleep issues. DD is very gassy at night and it makes it hard to get her to go back to sleep after she wakes up. Do you think elevating one side of the mattress might help with something like this? She sleeps in the pack n play in our room right now. What do you think I could use to elevate that?

Re: s/o of the sleep post..elevating mattress?

  • we have a pnp w/ a bassinet so we have one long side elevated with a towel, I think (Jay did it) and that has helped.  Also, after I feed Spence, I let him fall asleep on the boppy and when he's good and out, I take it away, that has helped to reduce spit-up.  that's mainly during the day, but t night we do it after the middle of the night feeding (there's generally just one now) and I watch him in his boppy while I pump.  When I'm done pumping, I move him to the bassinet.

    Anyway, elevating can't hurt!

  • We bought a crib wedge from BRU that was $15, and it goes under the mattress in the crib.  We actually just took it out the last time we lowered the mattress - it really helped!
