I appreciate any advice I can get on this method.

Re: 3 Day Potty Training ?
It worked for us - mostly.
By day 3 she was down to 1 accident per day. But she did not have an accident-free day until day 14, which is why I say it mostly worked because it too almost 5x as long to get accident free.
I did not even attempt nap-time or night-time PTing though as my DD is still pretty young.
We did it a month ago with our DS (2yrs 4mos) and it went very well. Prior to the 3 day program we had tried everything to get him to sit on the potty. Sticker charts, rewards, big boy underwear, everything and he refused to go near it. We decided just to give it a try and the first morning when he peed on his leg he freaked out and went immediately to the potty the next time he had to go, not battles or anything. Same with poo, that AM he pooped and got pretty upset and later in the day went on the potty when he felt he had to go. I was completly amazed at how easy potty training was, especially because my DS has never done anything easyily. The only accidents he has are when he gets really engrossed in something (like a TV show which he doesn't get often so when he gets it he is really into it) and he forgets to notice cues. We didn't work on naps or nightime but he tells us when he has to go when he is in bed.
I think the key to the program was keeping them naked for as long as you can and to really stick to it. Underwear and training pants felt too much like a diaper to him. It was hard having to be stuck inside but we adjusted and now we just take the potty everywhere we go and it's been pretty easy. Good luck!
I did it with my DD when she was 2.4 yrs old. Worked out great for us. Day #1 we went through almost 20 pairs of undies...day #2 maybe 10 pairs and on day #3 she had just one accident. She was completely and fully trained (pee, poop, naps & bed) on the 4th day.
I have a really rigid view of pt'ing, but I don't see the point in doing it any other way. I think casually sitting on the potty here & there, wearing pull-ups, etc. is confusing to the child. You have to just go for it. They have to know that diapers are just not an option anymore. Put the undies and don't look back. 3 days of training in undies is all they really need to nail it down and figure it out.
Before we began the 3 day pt'ing, we talked about doing it so she knew what was going to happen. We also loaded up on special drinks & juice boxes at the grocery store (you want to push as much liquids as possible ALL day long to create potty opportunities). We got some special treats for rewards. And on the first morning, we threw all of her diapers in the trash and said GOODBYE to diapers!! She was very excited about the whole thing.
And I did it with my 7 month old DS at home too. It was fine. You just want to stick real close by and play right alongside with him so you can see an accident coming and run to the bathroom. I don't remember the baby causing any problems...maybe she had an accident or two while I was nursing, but even that's a teachable moment...you won't always be right there to help...they need to learn how to feel the pee coming and run to the potty by themselves.
Good luck!!
Well I'm so late replying to this, but, I'm excited with all the replies, so I will be doing this starting on the 28th.
Thank you so much ladies.
