AW-ing my Name List

Even though it's still early, DH and I are pretty sure we have our names pretty much narrowed down. It's between two names for a girl, while our boy's name is pretty much set. It's a family name - Harris is my maiden name, as well as the surname of my paternal line (obviously), and Edward is the name of DH's father and grandfather. So if we have a boy, he would be named after each of his paternal lines (geneaology is big in our families).

I would love opinions on our girls' names though, so please vote if it's your thing. Smile

I like Harris and Vivian! You could also go with Vivienne if you wanted something different.

Love the name Harris for a little boy and I love the name Maren for a little girl.

All of them are great. Vivian was on my list last time--because of Vivien Leigh--I won't use it now because of the Brangelina factor but I still think it's a great name.

I've only known one Maren and I think it's pretty, unique but not weird and easy to spell.

And Harris is strong and fits the surname trend without being trendy.

That's tough. Vivian was on our list for our daughter and Maren is a new favorite of mine. Both are lovely. If I had to pick, Maren would probably just edge out Vivian. Harris is fine. Not one of my favorites, but it's nice.

Both Harris and Edward are great names, love them. ?I like my names to be family names so for a girl we were going to use Ella Marie; we picked it out 5 years ago before Ella was popular. ?We're having a boy so we don't have to worry about it now.
