How often are you suppose to replace nipples? I've had the same ones for 2 months. Also how do you know when they are ready to move up to a larger size nipple?
You're supposed to replace them about every three months (give or take). I didn't move up to a "medium" sized nipple until a week ago and DS is still getting used to it.
Mine said to replace them every three months. I have used the slow flow with DD mostly. When she gets really frustrated with the bottle, I will switch to medium part way through a feed. I have a quick let down and slight over production, so the bottle tends to make her mad!

We switched to size 2 at 8 weeks when DS would fall asleep during a feeding and wake up 5 minutes later mad and hungry. I have never replaced them since we bought them

I bought 2 new avent bottles the other day and they came with size 2 nipples. I tried them and he did fine. I guess in a few weeks I will get new nipples in size 2! Thanks!
