Lynsan?

I know it's not technically a real name, but what do you think of it for a girl? I'd never use it as a first name - middle only. I've been trying to think of a way to put together my mother and DH's mother's names (Lynette and Susan) but I hate made-up sounding names.

Thoughts?

i personally, think it's a stretch.
Let me say that sometimes, although you want to "use" certain names, they just don't work (esp in combo).

I think either Suzette, or both middle names, or Susannah Lynette. It does sound made up, and possibly a fungus or a prescription drug.

I think it's a good concept (honoring your mothers' names), but Lynsan just doesn't sound right to me.

Yeah I didn't really think so either. We'll see what happens, maybe I won't use the name(s) at all.

I'd go with Suzette - I think that is a good name.  Much better than the obviously made up Lynsan.

yikes. my first thought is that's not a name. but you admit that. i guess you could pull it off as a middle name... but eek. why would you want to?!? it's awful.

It sounds like a topical ointment to me.  I don't care for it at all.

I don't love it and I think that you will have to repeat it everytime when someone asks what the baby's name is.

So very bad. Some names are not meant to be combined, ever. Maybe use Suzette as a middle name or something. Pick a name that you actually LIKE.

my MIL's name is Lythan, which isn't made up and could be a combo of Lynette (Ly) and Susan (an).  I think it's very pretty.

I don't like Lynsan.
