Any gardeners on?

Any perennials to recommend to put around a lamp post?

I ripped out my Russian Sage this morning.

Thanks

  • Hi!

    Here's a plan for around a mailbox ...

    Coneflowers might be nice.

Why did you rip out the russian sage?

  • What about purple clematis? It looks really pretty on a lamp post.

  • Here's a picture, though what I've usually seen is a much deeper purple.

Ditto pp about the clematis.  We had that at our old house.  What are you looking for?  Something that climbs?  Just groundcover?

ETA:  I think a jackamani clematis or doubleflowering one would be beautiful.

HI Kylara! I usually only see you in the a.m. :)

The sage was right next to the lamp post, and always grew out into the walkway. I moved it to the back since it grows so big.

I have some coneflowers in the back I could put in front.  And I will check out the clematis, thanks!

  • I'm working today so I'm here all day.  ;-)

Clematis is super easy to grow.  My dad had a chinese lantern vine on his lamppost, but that's a little more unusual.

  • Clematis was my first thought as well. They might take a few years to fully grow/establish, but they're gorgeous!
