Depends on the last name. If it's something kind of unique or quirky, I think you can pull off Eva. If your last name is very basic, I'd stick with Katelyn.

I love Eva but only a few last names can pull it off, IMO.

How are you pronouncing Eva? I don't like either, they are entirely too common. I also hate that spelling of Katelyn, I prefer Caitlin. If I had to choose I would say Katelyn over Eva.

My vote is for Kaitlin/Caitlin, but I'm biased because that's my sister's name (I prefer the traditional Irish spelling rather than the made up Katelyn spelling).  I think it's lovely.  All of my sister's friends call her Kate which is nice too. 

I'll never like Eva because I had a bully in middle school with that name.  She was a total b*tch! lol
