Baby's new trick-humping the floor

DS just started doing this.  He wants to crawl and is so frustrated.  Did your babies do this and is this a sign of getting ready to crawl?

Is he still on his belly when he does this or on his hands and knees (rocking?). DS does the humping on the floor thing too especially when in is crib (lol).  Just curious what others think!

Do you mean like knees under him and the rest of him flat on the floor and humping it out?  If so, YES, DS does this, I think its a precursor to crawling.

DD dose this,(for 2 weeks now) she lifts her chest as high as possible and kinds humps with her bottom.... she has now started going backwards when doing this. I dont know if its a sign of crawling or not but I wish she would learn and stop yelling at me for toys

DS goes backwards, too.  He also yells at us for toys!  haha

We call it "swimming in place." DS has done this for MONTHS now and still has never hands-and-knees crawled. He's an army scooter all the way.

Is he a big boy?  He looks like a bigger guy in your pic.  DS weighs 21 pounds and I think it is more difficult for chubbier babies to get that big belly off the floor.  KWIM?
