Classic, or boring? And is Matt fun and cute or just dull? It's one of those names that everyone knows, but nobody seems to use anymore.

I've always liked it. I think it's a solid, classic name, and Matt to me is the cute, athletic type ; ) I guess since everyone does know it, it doesn't feel "fresh" like some of the current naming trends, but it's definitely a name with which you can't go wrong.

I like it!  I prefer more classic names for boys.  I like Matthew, Benjamin, James, Patrick, Andrew, Samuel, etc.

I love it, it's not on our list since it was my Ex's name, but I love Matt, Mattie, Matthew.

I think its a classic.  and for nn's i love Matt, but despise Matty.

I like this name, and agree it is solid. What I like about classic names like this is that they don't have a stigma to them, they fit every kind of person.

I like it, it was on our list but I forgot to add it when I redid it. I wouldn't say no one uses it anymore though -it's #10 for 2008.
