so...in adult land

how long is a nap?

To me, 30-45 minutes is a nap.

to my husband, the KING of being exhausted...from getting up and eating lunch in his pajamas....

a 3-4 hour nap is perfect...

seriously? It makes me SO passive aggressive. ( I NEED to think of it in terms of him spending his alone time however he wants to...but still, it pisses me off.)

  • oh. its 5:30, hes up...

    hooray.

  • I agree that a 30-45 min. nap in adult land is pretty good. I'm known to do this on a Sat. afternoon with my 4yo - after cleaning the house, going to the gym, and throwning in a couple of loads of laundry. My husband HATES that I do this! He can not sit still.

  • 30-45 minutes is a perfect nap. If left to my own devices I usually nap more like 1.5 hours.

DH would nap all day long if he could.

I am not a napper.  I would never nap for 45 minutes though.  That would totally screw me up.  If I nap (rare) it's a couple of hours.  And I still wake up feeling pschotic.

  • I never really thought it was wrong until now, but I usually nap for a couple of hours. I sleep better when I am napping than I do at night, so usually I fall into a pretty deep sleep.

  • I love napping. Here is a confession: DS has never since birth taken a nap in his crib/bed -we always take a nap together on the couch in the afternoon. I look forward to it (but FWIW I usually sleep for about 45min -1 hour.)
  • I could nap all afternoon some days, but know that I'll just feel groggy and even worse if I sleep longer than an hour.

  • I pretty much have to sleep for at least an hour or else I just feel worse. On weekends I sleep as long as DS does and sometimes longer if DH is home to take care of him.
