TTC After a Loss

pre-seed or mucinex?

I generally don't have CM issues but I'm on allergy meds this month, so I'm thinking I might.  I don't even know if I can take mucinex and allergy meds.  Is anyone else having this problem with seasonal allergies?

Re: pre-seed or mucinex?

  • Not so much with allergies but I def. have issues with not enough EWCM since our loss...I'm doing preconceive before BD and Mucinex as well.  Can you take too much Mucinex?  (I'm following what it says on the box, just didn't know if you can make your CM too thin?)

  • I already have issues with CM naturally since breastfeeding, so I'll definitely be using mucinex when I start clomid next week.

*I have no idea about it being too thin though!  ... Gonna go try to google some info

  • I don't usually have cm issues but is there any harm to doing mucinex and then using preseed if you find you just need a little extra lube? we don't use the actual applicators with the preseed but just use it like normal lube. The actual applicator of it was wayyyyy too much, it was like having sex with a slip and slide according to DH lol.

Not that I know of, I'm googling right now too to find out....

    LMAO!  We've never tried it

  • I forgot to add:

I recommend using preseed sparingly and not in the prefilled applicators. Now that we just use it from the tube just like we'd use normal lube it is much much better. Not sure if it's quite as helpful that way but the sex is more enjoyable lol.

  • This promotes the use of Robitussin/Mucinex:

Still can't find anything about the possibility of making it too thin though...anyone else find anything?
