My dog just ate an entire box of hot chocolate

I went upstairs to get changed and I came down to find a box of hot chocolate packets, all over the kitchen floor.  He went in the cabinet, took it out, ate all four packets (including the actual packet) and ate half the cardboard box.

Awesome.

He's 84lbs.  He ate a box of truffles once and I freaked out and called the vet.  They said he would have to eat almost 2lbs of chocolate for it to be a problem.

If he were a little tea cup Chihuahua, that'd be another story.

hilarious! I'd keep an eye on him but I'm sure he'll be fine. Our friend's dog ate a bag of hershey kisses, foil and all and was fine.

Even when my 15 pound Pom ate half a box of chocolate cookies the vet wasn't concerned and said he'd have to eat a lot more than that to make him really sick.

Its only a problem if its dark chocolate. Milk chocolate is fine. my little chihuahua has eaten and entire box of chocolate Santas and was fine. She has also eaten a whole bag of skittles, puked it up and her puke smelled like straight skittles lol

that reminds me....

easter last year i had a 4 pack of cadbury creame eggs that i left on the ottoman before i went out.

when i returned all that was left were a couple shreds of cardboard from the box.  all four eggs and the tin foil were gone!  the dog didnt even get the runs...just another day in this dogs life!
