So, I bought a dresser that has that little bar that goes around the top to make it into a changing table. Then, as DH and I were looking at it, we realized that the wood is going to get scratched pretty easily -- with the bar going around the top, plus the pad, plus I was planning on putting a basket up there to hold all the changing supplies.
Since the crib is convertible, I'd like the dresser to not get scratched all to heck in the first year of my child's life.
What can I use to protect the top? Just buy a huge amount of felt and put that on there? Some sort of plasticy, see through covering? I don't really care about looks since it'll mostly be covered.
Re: How to protect top of dresser/changer?
This works really well! My parents did this with some of our furniture growing up.
You could also try shelf liner.
