The kid always seems to have a cold, but never a temp, so I don't know if 100.3 warrants a call to the doctor?
She just feels warm all over... but DH thinks its cause I put her in fleece PJ's last night....
She is acting a lil more chill them normal...
Re: 100.3? Is that a fever? A concern?
DD had a bad fever last week, and I didn't call till it was 103. When I called our provincial health line (they are fantastic), she told me that it was more the rest of the symptoms that they worry about (not eating, crying, throwing up, etc.). It turned out that DD had Roseola, so a trip to the drs would have been useless anyways.
I'd call if it makes you feel better though....My Drs office sucks when I call, they always tell me to come in, so I only tend to call when it's really bad!
100.4 is a fever so its close enough I'd consider it one. However, I dont consider a fever that range a big deal. If it just started I wouldn't worry. I'd only be concerned if it was over 102 and not coming down with meds. Or if she continues to have it for a while.
Our pedi's office says to call if a fever is present for 72 hours, or its over 104, or if DC is really lathargic.
Honestly, sounds just like a beginning of a cold or virus and there's nothing they can do for that.
I double checked, and her thermometer said it was actually 100.6... I gave her tylenol right away... just checked it again (maybe 30 mins later) and its 100.8.... I am going to give it a hour or two and check again, and go from there...
Thanks ladies!

FYI, our dr's office says that you really don't even need to give meds unless its over 102, or a fever is present at bedtime, or if obviously DC is really uncomfortable. If you're just concerned about the temp, I really wouldn't be. I generally give meds if DD is miserable or its over 102. She's had fevers that have been around that range and I haven't given meds. A fever isn't necessarily bad. So if you check in an hour or 2 and its around that I wouldn't worry unless she seems really upset.
As pp said, our dr says to watch for other symptoms moreso than just the fever. a low grade fever with a baby that is very lethargic is more concerning than a high fever and a baby that is acting normal. And lethargic is more than just being a little tired/not theirselves. Obviously if they are sick with something they will be a little tired/groggy.
