shredders come in....

For those who are doing the 30 day shred....do you follow a diet plan also, or are you just doing the workouts each day?

I am proud of myself...I have done it the past 3 days despite not wanting to because my quads are killing me.  I still am not the greatest at it....but I think it is getting better.

Re: shredders come in....

  • I don't follow a specific diet plan per se, but I have been trying to eat healthier.  Let me tell you how hard that is when I have cupcakes (leftover from a birthday), choc chip cookies and lemon bars sitting in the kitchen!  Ahhhhh!

Anyway, I'm on day 3 as well and have been feeling better already.

Are you doing Level 1 for 10 days and then moving up?

  • I'm on day 7 of level one and definitely feeling a difference - especially with my endurance level.

I'm not following the diet plan since I'm nursing, but trying to eat nutritiously on my own.

  • DH does Weight Watchers and has lost 30 lb in in less than 4 months.  His goal weight is within reach now.  It works.  I do not count points, but I do think about what I put in my mouth.  I prefer to eat fresh fruit and veggies and skimp on the meat.  I don't snack.  It's rare to see me eating betwwen meals.  I do need to up my water intake, and decrease my alcohol intake...I like my wine every few days.  I am doing well with it, slow and steady loss...and if I can continue exercising, I will be at the weight I was when I graduated high school in a few months.  So, no, I do not do a diet but I do think about the nutritional value of what I put in my mouth.  I really believe that exercise and healthy eating are the keys to losing weight and keeping it off.  I wish you luck.  It is not easy at first, but it does become habit after awhile.
