Mucinex question...

I have hardly any EWCM.  When I did an internal check an hour or so ago what I got was whitish and kinda thick...should I take some Mucinex and try to thin it out in the next few days or wait and see what happens???  Can you make your CM too thin???

Is this your first month checking internally and/or charting?  If so, I would wait and see what happens.  If you consistently do not EWCM over several cycles, then I'd consider the Mucinex.

Also, in order for Mucinex to work when you have a cold etc, you need to take it with lots of water or it can dry you out.  I have always assumed that the same is true if you are using it for EWCM purposes as well.

My third month ttc after a missed mc.  Haven't had any EWCM really since then.  Holding off on the charting b/c I think it will stress me out more but I might have to go with that route...

In that case, it's up to you whether or not you use the Mucinex.  It could be that it will take your body a little while to adjust and start making fertile CM again after your m/c.  I would highly recommend charting in addition to observing CM - it will give you a better overall picture of what kind of CM you get at what point in your cycle.  For example, some women get BFPs without ever having EWCM, only watery CM which is still considered fertile.

I found that mucinex is the only way dh and i got pg. Google the doses and  don't over due it, but if you don't have a really regular cycle its hard to tell how many days in advance to Oing you should take it. I think the first cycle we got pg (ended in m/c) i took it 6-7 days before O and with this pg i took it about 8 days prior to O but i have no Clue if i truley O'd at that time. It was like niagra falls down below once i took it though. But I too had nothing until after O when it was white and creamy then. GL
